Expressive Embodied Coaching
THE EMBODIED APPROACH
After more than 25 years on stage — from the most intimate performances to the largest theatres — one thing still surprises me: how rarely performers are trained as a whole person.
The voice is trained. The body is trained. The acting is trained. But the place where all of that becomes one — where technique serves expression, and expression flows from who you truly are — that is seldom where the work begins.
That is exactly what the Expressive Embodied Approach is built for.
Rooted in the pioneering work of Johan Verdoner and Selma Susanna — who spent over thirty years developing a wholeness approach to the music theatre repertoire — this approach builds on that foundation and carries it forward.
Whether you sing or speak, whether you perform on a stage or stand at the front of a room — the most powerful instrument you have is you. Your body, your breath, your voice, your presence — your authentic self in genuine contact with the people in front of you.
Body, breath, voice, emotion, imagination, memory and space — not as separate skills, but as one integrated whole.
Inspiring, touching and motivating others from your authentic self is something everyone can discover, deepen and make entirely their own.
